Butz and Tveit mentioned they would co-star in the show at an MCC Theater benefit in Gotham Monday night, while Butler has posted news of her casting on her website.
All three thesps have participated in developmental readings of "Catch Me," so they already looked to be in the casting mix for the full production.
Based on the 2002 pic helmed by Steven Spielberg, "Catch Me" has music by "Hairspray" duo Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman and book by Terrence McNally. Two more "Hairspray" alums, helmer Jack O'Brien and choreographer Jerry Mitchell, will stage the show, which will run July 23-Aug. 14 at the 5th Avenue.
Commercial producers Margo Lion ("Hairspray") and Hal Luftig ("Legally Blonde") are attached to the project. Broadway dates for "Catch Me" have not yet been nailed down.
