The San Francisco Film Festival has slotted Peter Bratt's "La Mission," starring his brother Benjamin Bratt, as its opening-night feature on April 23 at the Castro Theater.
The Bratt brothers and cast members Erika Alexander and Jeremy Ray Valdez are expected to attend.
"La Mission" is set in San Francisco's Mission District, where the brothers grew up, and centers on a reformed ex-con and recovering alcoholic who turns his life around.
"La Mission" was shot in San Francisco and produced by Alpita Patel and the Bratt brothers, with Kat Taylor, Tom Steyer and Dan Nelson exec producing.
Fest will run through May 7, with 200 films screening at the Sundance Kabuki Cinemas, the Castro Theater and Clay Theater in San Francisco and the Pacific Film Archive Theater in Berkeley.
