The pair will produce the comedy, which is being developed as a potential directing vehicle for Roach.
Original pic, which was released in the U.K. last year and unspooled at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, chronicled filmmaker Chris Waitt's quest to find out how women from his past perceived him.
Fictionalized version will center on a man who sets out to interview every girl he has dated and ask the all-important question, "What's wrong with me?" Jay Reiss has been tapped to write the screenplay.
Waitt and Henry Trotter, who wrote and produced the docu for Warp Films, will exec produce.
U acquired the remake rights from StudioCanal, with CAA packaging the project.
Moritz, whose recent credits include "I Am Legend" and the "Fast and the Furious" films, had a busy year in 2008 with three pics produced by his Original Film shingle: "Vantage Point," "Prom Night" and "Made of Honor."
Roach is no stranger to mining European properties for their comedic potential. He is set to lense "Dinner for Schmucks," based on a French comedy, for Paramount, DreamWorks and Spyglass beginning in October. His producing credits include "Charlie Bartlett" and "Borat."
Reiss' credits include "The Oranges" and "Lonny the Great," projects that are in development at Media Rights Capital and Warner Bros., respectively.
