LONDON -- The former Sony Pictures senior executive, Peter Iacono, hired by ITV to head up its global sales operation, is to ankle as part of the web's cost cutting package that will see the loss of around 600 jobs.
Iacono, appointed in January 2008, was hired to boost sales in international markets as part of ITV's ambitions to double content revenues by 2012.
On Wednesday ITV executive chairman Michael Grade said the downturn meant that these targets were no longer viable.
