'Law & Order: Criminal Intent'
USA Network, which led cable in viewership last summer, even besting the CW on some nights, will get this year's summer campaign started early, on Sunday, April 19, pairing the eighth season of police procedural "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" with the second season of the witness-relocation-themed "In Plain Sight."
The NBC U-owned cable channel released its summer original programming slate Tuesday.
Half of "Criminal Intent's" 16-episode season will star Jeff Goldblum, who is being introduced into the series lead role. Incumbent Vincent D'Onofrio will return for the other eight episodes.
The network's hit thriller "Burn Notice" will be paired in June on Thursday nights with new series "Royal Pains." Frosh series will star Mark Feuerstein as an on-call doctor to the rich and famous.
USA will program comedy series "Monk" and "Psych" on Friday nights, with premiere dates yet to be announced.
Mondays will continue to be pinned by "WWE Monday Night Raw" from 9-11 p.m.
