ABC Family lands rights to 'Gilmore'

Network picks up final season of WB/CW show

ABC Family has acquired the final season of "Gilmore Girls."

Cabler landed the seventh season in a deal with Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution and now has rights to all 153 episodes of the series. Final season is set to be rebroadcast on ABC Family in June.

"Gilmore Girls," which launched in 2000 and ran until May 2007, aired on the WB and CW. Many critics championed the show but it never received an Emmy nomination.

The series, created by Amy Sherman-Palladino and exec produced by David Rosenthal, starred Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel.
