CMT orders 8 episodes of 'Parents'

Network adds reality series to slate

CMT has ordered eight episodes of reality skein "World's Strictest Parents."

Series focuses on unruly teenagers who move out of their home to live with selected adults who are much harsher than their biological mother and father. The kids must obey all house rules and are punished when failing to comply.

Hourlong "Parents" is set to premiere in April and will run on the country music-themed cabler alongside "Nanny 911," which CMT put back into production after airing repeats from Fox.

"Parents" is produced by Shed Media U.S. Jeff Cvengros, Nick Emmerson, Jennifer O'Connell, Jamie Isaacs and Sam Whittakers serve as exec producers.
