Lifetime has ordered a fourth season of hit drama series, 'Army Wives.'
Lifetime has reupped its biggest hit, "Army Wives," for a fourth season.
The cabler has ordered 18 more episodes of the ABC Studios-produced drama series, a top draw on cable for women 18-49.
Series will also have a new showrunner, with Jeff Melvoin taking over for Nick Thiel.
Fourth-season renewal comes even before the premiere of the third campaign, which kicks off in June and is in production in Charleston, S.C.
Series stars Kim Delaney and Sally Pressman and tracks the struggles of military families.
The most successful show in Lifetime's 25-year history, "Army Wives' " second-season finale in November produced the network's highest-ever rating in the adults 18-34 demo.
Produced by ABC Studios for Lifetime, "Army Wives" is exec produced by Mark Gordon, Deborah Spera, Marshall Persinger, Harry Bring and Melvoin.
Season four of "Army Wives" will bow next year.
