CW Entertainment chief Dawn Ostroff called them "six shows that have clearly contributed to strengthening our schedule and our brand identity." Reups cover the third season of "Gossip Girl" and a seventh season of "One Tree Hill," which combined to lift the CW to top women 18-34 perfs on Monday night. Also covered is a second season of "90210," which has provided double-digit increases in key demos on Tuesday nights this season.
Yet to be renewed is CW rookie "Privileged," which has averaged just under 1.8 million viewers.
The network also gave a pilot order to the Ashton Kutcher-produced "The Beautiful Life," an ensemble drama set in the modeling biz.
Project, which comes from CBS Paramount and Kutcher's Katalyst Prods., is being penned by "Swingtown" staffer Adam Giaudrone, with "Swingtown" creator Mike Kelley and showrunner Carol Barbee serving as exec producers. Kutcher and Katalyst's Karey Burke also are listed as exec producers.
