"Dream Diaries" (working title) is based on a man's nocturnal adventures that were archived at UC San Diego for a research project, which Marsh unearthed.
Doc is being developed by pubcaster Channel 4's pic arm, Film 4, plus the U.K. Film Council. The idea is to emulate "Man on Wire," which won the documentary feature Oscar on Sunday, by giving the doc a theatrical release internationally.
Wall to Wall hopes the 90-minute doc, budgeted at around $1.4 million, will go into production by the end of the year.
"Man on Wire" also won honors at Sundance and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards.
