Gore Verbinski scores new senior VP

Blind Wink Prods. ups Jonathan Krauss

Gore Verbinski's Universal-based Blind Wink Prods. has named Jonathan Krauss as senior VP of film development and production and Wil Stahl as senior VP of game development.

Verbinski's company is run by veteran marketing exec Nils Peyron, who came aboard in September as executive VP and managing partner.

Krauss joins Blind Wink from Mandalay Pictures, where he was exec VP of development and production. He began his career working for Oliver Stone and served stints at Sony and HBO Films. He has worked on films that include "The International" and most recently developed Mandalay's remake of Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds."

Stahl is a 13-year veteran of the videogame industry. He began at Activision and is a founding member of Pandemic Studios, where he spent eight years developing "Battlezone II," "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and "Destroy All Humans." He joins Blind Wink from Earth Defense Command, an interactive development studio he founded in 2007.
