Summit Entertainment has acquired worldwide rights to action comedy "Next Day Air" from Melee Entertainment and Paramount and will release it domestically on May 8.

Scott Aronson produced for Melee along with Inny Clemons for his Secret Society banner. Exec producers include Bryan Turner, Miami Heat player Shaun Livingston, Steve Markoff, Steven Belser and Bruce McNall.
"Next Day Air" represents the feature directorial debut from musicvideo director Benny Boom. Blair "Butta" Cobbs penned the screenplay, in which a package of contraband is delivered to the wrong apartment, setting in motion a frantic search among the gangsters who sent it and the criminals who were supposed to get it.
