Brad Dourif, Michael Pena and Bill Cobbs have all boarded the cast of helmers Werner Herzog and David Lynch’s collaboration “My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done.”
The trio join the already announced Michael Shannon, Willem Dafoe, Chloe Sevigny, Grace Zabriskie and Udo Kier in the psychological thriller that is loosely based on the true story of a San Diego man who murdered his own mother with his sword.
The project marks the first time Herzog and Lynch have worked together. Herzog will direct the project, which he co-wrote with Herbert Golder, while Lynch will exec producer.
Eric Bassett is producing with the L.A.-based Unified Pictures handling international sales with Lynch’s shingle Absurda.
Principal photography is set to start in March.
