Ormond to star in 'Wronged Man'

Gale Anne Hurd is exec producing project

Julia Ormond has been tapped to star in upcoming Lifetime telepic "The Wronged Man."

Ormond will play a paralegal who befriends and helps a man wrongly accused of rape (Mahershalalhashbaz Ali).

Gale Anne Hurd is exec producing the project, which is based on a true story, for Valhalla Motion Pictures and Sony Pictures Television. Tom McLoughlin will helm and Teena Booth is writing the script.

Lifetime has targeted a November premiere date for the drama.
