Fabrizio Grosol, a film critic and producer, and former artistic director of Rimini film festival, as well a former collaborator with the Venice and Rome fests, will head the selection panel.
He will be assisted by journo Alessandra De Luca and former Rome fest collaborator Fabia Bettini.
Mario Sesti and Gianluca Giannelli will oversee selection of fringe and children’s pictures.
Despite the political turmoil ahead of last year’s edition, when Rome's new mayor Gianni Alemanno said he wanted more home-grown material on display, ticket sales were up 4.5% to 115,000 during the 10-day event.
The buoyant sales mean the Eternal City is likely to continue supporting the event, which is now seen as significant date on the festival calendar.
