Vivica A. Fox has been tapped to host TV Land's "The Cougar," a dating competish series from producer Mike Fleiss.
The series is set to premiere April 15 on TV Land's Prime programming block. Each episode will feature a single woman seeking a match among a pool of eligible younger men.
The MTV Networks-owned cable channel has ordered eight episodes of the hourlong, which is produced by Warner Horizon Television and exec produced by Fleiss ("The Bachelor"). The series fits in with the cabler's strategy of targeting viewers in their 40s and 50s with original programming.
Fox is currently in production on HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm," where she's continuing her role as Larry David's house guest. She'll also be seen alongside Jessica Simpson and Cheri Oteri in the upcoming comedy feature "Major Movie Star."
