LONDON — Brit thesps Rupert Friend, Ioan Gruffudd, Natascha McElhone and Liam Cunningham have all boarded thesp-turned-helmer Nick Moran’s sophomore project “The Kid.”
Project is an adaptation of writer Kevin Lewis’ best-selling true story of an abused child who manages to extricate himself from the criminal underworld to lead a more fulfilling life.
Moran earned critical kudos for his debut directorial effort “Telstar” last year.
U.K.-based sales and finance entity Intandem Films, which co-financed Simon Pegg starrer “How to Lose Friends and Alienate People,” has picked up worldwide rights on the project.
