The project will be developed as a directing vehicle for Greg Berlanti, who, after exec producing and writing such series as “Eli Stone,” “Dirty Sexy Money” and “Dawson’s Creek,” will direct “Green Lantern” for WB.
Tropper’s book, which will be published by Dutton, is about a father who dies and requests that his highly dysfunctional and non-religious family sit Shivah for seven days, in his honor. That experience forces them to confront their own family dynamic.
The author will write the first draft, in a deal made by UTA and Writers House.
