Amanda Seyfried cast as Wilde lead

'Mia!' star to be 'Woman of No Importance'

Amanda Seyfried will topline Myriad Pictures' adaptation of Oscar Wilde's comedy "A Woman of No Importance" opposite Annette Bening and Sean Bean.

Donald Zuckerman's producing and Bruce Beresford's directing from Howard Himelstein's script.

Seyfried, who broke out in "Mamma Mia!," is starring in Lasse Hallstrom's "Dear John" and Atom Egoyan's "Chloe" with Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore.

Myriad's current slate includes "Last Stop 194," Brazil's entry in the Academy Awards' foreign language category; "The Cry of the Owl," starring Julia Stiles and Paddy Considine, a BBC production based on the novel by Patricia Highsmith; and "The Cup," starring Ray Winstone and Stephen Curry.
