He will write and helm his next project for Focus Features. His other deal is with Universal, where he'll write and possibly direct another film.
The studios will have worldwide rights to the projects.
Deals are a continuation of Fukunaga's relationship with Focus. His Sundance prize winner "Sin nombre" will be distributed by U's specialty division.
Amy Kaufman, who produced "Sin nombre," is included as a producer on both deals.
