'Star Trek' Barbies beam to stores

Dolls modeled after upcoming film

Paramount is certainly covering its bases when it comes to promoting its reboot of "Star Trek."

CBS Consumer Products has created a line of phaser-packing "Star Trek" Barbie dolls modeled after the actors who star in the new pic.

Division says the Mattel-made dolls were produced mainly for collectors, but given that they're official Barbies, the kid contingent will also be interested.

Each doll, one for Spock, Captain Kirk and Lieutenant Uhura, will retail for $43.19 and be available at Wal-Mart, its website and Barbiecollector.com.

They hit store shelves April 20, ahead of the film's May 8 bow.
