CBS Films nabs marketing pros

CBS Films has tapped Teri Boggess, Cherie Crane and Maggie Schmidt to fill key marketing posts.

The three will be responsible for designing and implementing all of CBS Films' creative advertising, media and publicity campaign outreach and will report to Debbie Miller, exec VP of worldwide marketing.

Boggess, who will serve as senior VP of creative advertising content, joins CBS Films from Warner Bros. Domestic Marketing, where she was VP of promotional programming. Boggess was responsible for the creation of in-theater trailers, network interstitials, cable longform programming and Internet content for theatrical release campaigns for such Warner films as "The Dark Knight," "The Matrix" and the "Harry Potter" franchise.

Crane joins CBS Films as senior VP of media and research. Since 2003 she had been president of Perspective Consulting, where she developed integrated marketing campaigns and oversaw research for a number of clients including Disney Interactive, Spotrunner.com, Vivendi Visual Entertainment, Mediavest and Jenny Craig.

Schmidt, who will serve as senior VP of publicity, was veep of East Coast publicity at Warners from 2004-05. As head of the Gotham PR office, she oversaw national publicity and tri-state promotions outreach on all Warners theatrical campaigns.

With the three hires, CBS Films has finished filling out its exec roster. The company, created in 2007, aims to develop and produce four to six movies a year, with production budgets up to $50 million per film.

Boggess, Crane and Schmidt will join the company next month.
