TV Land nabs AFI Life awards

Channel signs four-year deal

TV Land has wrested away exclusive television rights for the AFI Life Achievement Awards from USA Network.

The MTV Networks channel has signed a four-year deal with the AFI for exclusive rights to the event starting this year.

Deal kicks off with the 37th annual lifetime kudo, which will be handed to Michael Douglas on June 11 in Los Angeles.

Event will premiere July 19 on TV Land’s primetime programming block.
