Brent Willman named CFO of OWN

Exec from Discovery Communications’ TLC

Cable vet Brent Willman has been tapped chief financial officer at the Oprah Winfrey Network, as the nascent outlet preps for its projected launch in late 2009 or early 2010.

Willman comes from Discovery Communications’ TLC, where he held the same post. OWN is a joint venture of Winfrey’s Harpo Prods. and Discovery.

Before joining TLC, Willman was senior veep and CFO at Game Show Network.
