Canadian critics praised "Milk" as the year's best pic at the Vancouver Film Critics Circle awards Jan. 12. The drama also won best male performance for star Sean Penn.
"C'est pas moi, je le jure!" was won the prize for best Canadian film, while its helmer Philippe Falardeau won for best director and star Suzanne Clément took home the honor for best supporting actress in a Canadian film.
Kate Winslet followed her double win at the Golden Globes with a prize for best actress that recognized her work in both "The Reader" and "Revolutionary Road."
