Chenoweth
Kristin Chenoweth has joined the cast of the 1932 Kern and Hammerstein tuner "Music in the Air," getting a short semi-staged run in February as part of City Center's annual Encores! series.
Chenoweth ("Wicked," "Pushing Daisies") fills in for the previously announced Marin Mazzie, who leaves the show after a death in her family.
Helmed by Gary Griffin (who directed Chenoweth in "The Apple Tree" at Encores! in 2005), "Music" also stars Douglas Stills, Dick Latessa and Sierra Boggess.
Tuner runs Feb. 5-8.
