Rogen to 'Report' back at SXSW

Actor to premiere, promote 'Observe'

Following the 2007 preem of "Knocked Up," Seth Rogen will return to the SXSW Film Festival with the world premiere of "Observe and Report."

Written and directed by Jody Hill ("Foot Fist Way"), "Observe" stars Rogen as a mall cop who picks a turf battle with local police. Pic will unspool in the fest's Centerpiece slot on March 16 before Warner opens it wide on April 10.

SXSW also has added panelists including helmers Catherine Hardwicke, Robert Rodriguez, Mike Judge and Joe Swanberg, plus trailer editor Mark Woollen.

Four docus also have made the cut including Gary Hustwit's view of influential industrial designers in "Objectified," Andrew Neel's look at conspiracy theorists in "New World Order," Ben Steinbauer's portrait of "Winnebago Man" and Brett Gaylor's exploration of copyright issues in "RiP: A Remix Manifesto."

SXSW fest runs March 13-21, opening with John Hamburg's comedy "I Love You, Man."
