Film Independent (FIND) and Netflix will partner to provide a first-time filmmaker the resources to make a feature narrative film including a $150,000 cash grant from Netflix. Panavision, Kodak and Deluxe Entertainment will donate services. FIND will screen the completed film at its Los Angeles Film Festival, unspooling June 18-28.
First-time filmmakers may apply through Feb 9. Ten semi-finalists will then be picked to submit a short video, to be voted on by the public. Brolin and other film professionals will select a winner from the top five.
