"Fearless" sold 90,000 copies in the week ended Sunday, according to Nielsen Soundscan, bringing the title's cume to 2.2 million. This weekend, she will be the musical guest on "Saturday Night Live," the first high profile television performance of the New Year.
The top 100 featured only two debuts and the only albums to see bumps were holiday related.
An MP3 collection from X5 Music Group titled "99 Most Essential Beethoven Masterpieces" sold 21,000 copies to debut at No. 29. Most of those sales likely occurred on Dec. 30 when the entire set was offered for $1.99 on Amazon.com. It regularly retails for $7.99.
Universal's Erin McCarley opened at No. 86 as her "Love Save the Empty" sold 9,000 copies.
Nine titles remained in the top 10, all of which dropped more than 55% from the final week of holiday shopping. Beyonce's "I Am...Sasha Fierce" is still No. 2 on sales of 77,000, Kanye West's "808s & Heartbreak" sold 71,000 and moved up two slots to No. 3 and the "Twilight" soundtrack flew up two spaces to No. 4 on sales of 66,000.
The Target stores-exclusive from Hollywood Records, "All Wrapped Up," doubled its sales to 40,000 to hit No. 10. The Christmas collection featuring the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and others was offered at clearance prices.
