Glenn Adilman has now been named exec VP of comedy development, while Sharon Hall has been promoted to exec VP of drama development.
Both report to Sony Pictures TV programming presidents Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Ehrlict, who made the announcement Tuesday.
Adilman and Hall handle all scripted development for broadcast and cable at the studio. Their promotions come as Sony Pictures TV has placed several projects in various stages of development at the nets.
That includes a Lauren Graham comedy and an adaptation of "Maid in Manhattan" at ABC; the Mitch Hurwitz comedy "Happiness Isn't Everything" at CBS; a Valerie Bertinelli comedy at TBS; and the Peter Tolan/Matthew Perry laffer "The End of Steve" at Showtime.
Studio also has the drama "Eva Adams" at Fox; the Lifetime drama "Drop Dead Diva"; and the Jada Pinkett Smith drama "Time Heals" at TNT. Sony is also behind the upcoming ABC hourlong "The Unusuals."
Hall, who joined Sony in 2005, developed "Damages," "Breaking Bad" and "The Beast," while Adilman, who's been with the studio since 2004, developed "'Til Death," "Rules of Engagement," "My Boys" and "Ten Items or Less."
