Russell had been a longtime client at CAA. He was among the clients considered “in play” when his primary agent, Rick Nicita, left the agency to become co-chairman and chief operating officer of Morgan Creek Prods.
Russell last starred as a murderous stunt driver in the Quentin Tarantino-directed “Death Proof,” which was half of the 2007 film “Grindhouse.”
