Nearly 70% of Par's overseas grosses came from distributing "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" ($469 million), "Kung Fu Panda" ($416 million), "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" ($283 million as of Sunday) and Marvel's "Iron Man" ($214 million, with non-Paramount territories accounting for another $49 million). Par's next biggest offshore performer was "The Spiderwick Chronicles" with $91 million.
Warner Bros. holds both the foreign gross record with $2.2 billion in 2004 and the second spot with $2.15 billion last year. Fox hit the $2 billion mark in 2006 and in 1998 with "Titanic."
The former UIP partnership among Par, Universal and DreamWorks hit $2.26 billion in 2005 and $2.1 billion in 2004.
