Rove McManus to host 'The List'

ABC brings Australian emcee to US for special

Australia's Rove McManus has been tapped to host upcoming ABC special "The List."

Program reps the first U.S. gig for the popular Oz emcee, who's plotting a career leap from Down Under up here.

Special, which comes from Alphabet's Lincoln Square Prods., revolves around the year in pop culture and entertainment. "Dancing With the Stars" performer Julianne Hough and celeb blogger Perez Hilton also will contribute.

Rove's hosted a popular Sunday-night talker on Australia's Ten Network since 1999, consistently winning his time period among adults 18-49 against competish such as "Grey's Anatomy" and "CSI."

Lee Hoffman is the exec producer for "The List."
