RAAM to honor Bond producers

U.K. industry award takes place Feb. 4

By
LONDON — Eon Productions duo Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, the producers behind the James Bond frachise, will be feted with the top International Award at the RAAM Awards, which take place Feb. 4 at London’s Millennium Hotel.

Also picking up a prize on the night, for industry achievement, will be Paramount Pictures International’s president Andrew Cripps.

The annual U.K. awards celebrate the British and Irish film exhibition and distribution.

Box office movie of the year award will be dished out to Abba tuner “Mamma Mia!,” which earlier this week become the highest grossing pic of all-time in the territory.

Last year, Peter Bart, vice-president and editor-in-chief of Daily Variety, was honored with the RAAM Intl. Award for his contributions to film production and media.

The awards are held in support of the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund charity.

Other award recipients will be revealed on the night.
