Penned by Kate Angelo, story centers on a single woman (Lopez) who turns to artificial insemination to answer her ticking biological clock only to meet the man of her dreams on the same day as her positive pregnancy test results.
Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch are producing through their Escape Artists banner.
Producers and CBS Films are looking to tap a director for the project by the end of January, if not sooner.
Project, which is scheduled to shoot in April or May, will mark Lopez's return to the bigscreen after taking a couple of years off to give birth to twins. The fledgling studio, headed by Amy Baer, is also close to greenlighting the Harrison Ford starrer "Crowley."
Lopez is repped by UTA.
