Presented by Gerald Goehring and Michael Jenkins, show has book by Joseph Robinette and songs by Scott Davenport Richards. Eric Rosen ("Clay") directs.
Rosen also is a.d. of Kansas City Rep, which is a regional theater partner on "Christmas Story."
Story -- adapted from the pic as well as the Jean Shepherd novel "In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash," on which the movie is based -- centers on the misadventures of a young boy who desperately wants a BB gun for Christmas.
Bridges is joined by thesps including Gregg Edelman, Liz Larsen and Dalton Harrod.
Industry-only readings will be held Dec. 16-17.
Also getting a pair of industry-only readings Dec. 16 is "Angels," the technically ambitious tuner that scuttled a pre-Broadway engagement in Shreveport, La., earlier this year. Reading of the musical -- produced by Marcus Cheong (who also co-wrote the book and lyrics), Frank Monteleone and Dale Smith -- will star previously announced actors Robert Cuccioli, Jessica Grove and Nicholas Rodriguez.
