Herman served as executive in charge of talent for the "Stand Up to Cancer" simulcast in September.
Her most recent projects include co-producing "The 60th Primetime Emmy Awards" and working as coordinating producer for "The Kennedy Center Honors."
Oscar noms will be announced Jan. 22 in the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater.
