The Elves -- Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz -- have signed a talent deal with fashion PR diva Kelly Cutrone to create a show about the fast-paced behind-the-scenes world of Cutrone's publicity shop, People's Revolution.
"Having done 'Runway,' we have a lot of headspace in the fashion world," Lipsitz said. "Runway" is "just a small microcosm of that. There's this incredible world to be explored that hasn't been done yet."
Cutrone is familiar to reality viewers via her appearances on "The Hills." Lipsitz and Cutforth said they believed her personality -- and her role as a single mother -- would make for a compelling series.
"One of the things about making a show in the fashion world is all the amazing characters you run into," Cutforth said. The Elves have put together a pilot and are shopping the show to networks -- starting with NBC Universal, where the shingle has a first-look deal.
Cutforth and Lipsitz are set to exec produce, along with Cutrone. The Magical Elves also are behind "Top Chef," among other skeins.
