The pic stars Horikita as a teenage girl who loses four years of memories in a tumble on a staircase and falls in love with the boy (Matsuyama) she first sees when she comes to.
Canosa's pics include "Conversations With Other Women," which scooped the jury prize and actress prize for Helena Bonham Carter at the 2005 Tokyo Film Festival.
It's produced by Aoi Promotion and will be distribbed in Japan by Cine Qua Non. Release is skedded for 2009.
Matsuyama also appeared in this year's musical dramady hit "Detroit Metal City."
Horikita is a model and TV thesp whose pic apperances have multiplied since she starred in "Always 2" (2007), the follow-up to smash nostalgic drama "Always" (2005).
