Bloomberg TV taps Rhodes

Exec to head station's American region

Former Fox News Channel exec David Rhodes has been tapped to head Bloomberg Television's American region.

Rhodes, who had been with the News Corp.-owned cabler since its 1996 launch, was FNC's news veep overseeing its daily coverage.

"David's news judgment, his strength as a creator and organizer, and his ability to energize a television news operation will be strong assets...as we build on the unique global infrastructure that Bloomberg has created," Bloomberg multimedia CEO Andrew Lack said.

Lack, a former news producer and former head of Sony Music, was tapped in October to oversee the expansion of Bloomberg's media operations (Daily Variety, Oct. 15).
