Rhodes, who had been with the News Corp.-owned cabler since its 1996 launch, was FNC's news veep overseeing its daily coverage.
"David's news judgment, his strength as a creator and organizer, and his ability to energize a television news operation will be strong assets...as we build on the unique global infrastructure that Bloomberg has created," Bloomberg multimedia CEO Andrew Lack said.
Lack, a former news producer and former head of Sony Music, was tapped in October to oversee the expansion of Bloomberg's media operations (Daily Variety, Oct. 15).
