"I'm as fascinated by the whole idea of this very Americanized holiday as when I started," he said at the post-preem bash at the Roosevelt. "Families aren't nuclear any more but we take Christmas just as seriously. There's a lot of humor in that."
Reese Witherspoon and castmates Kristin Chenoweth, Robert Duvall and Sissy Spacek attended while Vince Vaughn was in Bora Bora on a shoot. Other notables included Sue Kroll, Toby Emmerich, Richard Brener and producer Jonathan Glickman.
Glickman opined that there's nothing like Christmas get-togethers to bring family neuroses to the forefront -- particularly amid uncertain times.
"I think escapism works well when there's an economic downturn," he added. "I told Reese we were doing 'Four Hanukkahs' next."
