Anand Tucker jumps at 'Leap Year'

Romantic comedy stars Amy Adams

Anand Tucker ("Shopgirl") will direct romantic comedy "Leap Year," starring Amy Adams. Spyglass Entertainment and Benderspink produce.

Production's set to start lensing in March in Ireland. Spyglass' Gary Barber, Roger Birnbaum and Jonathan Glickman are producing with Benderspink's Chris Bender and JC Spink.

The script by Harry Elfont and Deb Kaplan ("Made of Honor") centers on a woman who travels to Dublin to propose to her boyfriend on leap day, Feb. 29, as part of an Irish tradition in which a man receiving a marriage proposal on that day has to say yes.

Benderspink's Jake Weiner is exec producing.

Adams is attached to topline indie drama "Daughter of the Queen of Sheba" for producers Susan Cartsonis and Matt Williams. She'll be seen next in "Doubt," "Julie and Julia" and "Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian."

Tucker's credits include "When Did You Last See Your Father?" and "Hilary & Jackie."
