Thesps flock to 'Color City'

Perez, Hall, Ferguson join Ricci in film

Rosie Perez, Craig Ferguson and Arsenio Hall will join Christina Ricci for the CG-animated feature "The Hero of Color City," directed by Becky Bristow. Thesps will lend voices as a group of crayons fighting to save their multihued city.

The pic's producer, Exodus Film Group, has also pacted with Simon & Schuster to publish a series of children's books around the story.

Magnolia Pictures will handle a domestic theatrical and homevid release in 2010.

Exodus was behind the animated feature "Igor," voiced by John Cusack, and will produce "Bunyon and Babe," starring John Goodman and Kelsey Grammer.
