Previously serving as a consultant to MTV-owned Spike TV and TV Land, Dalva will have a wide range of programming responsibilities in his new job, including the pursuit of international content opportunities and programming enterprises, as well as digital content partnerships.
He also will seek out creative financing of alternative and scripted programming. Dalva's focus will primarily be Spike, but he also will represent sibling cablers TV Land and Comedy Central.
While consulting for Spike and TV Land, Dalva is credited with helping launch original programs including "DEA," "Murder" and "Bullrun," as well as bringing in two of Spike's most successful acquisitions, "Spike's Wildest Videos" and "Disorderly Conduct."
Dalva also has served a stint at VH1, which included a senior VP of programming, co-productions and creative affairs post.
