Freudenthal's attachment comes four years after the studio, along with ImageMovers partners Robert Zemeckis and Jack Rapke, purchased the feature rights to Ian Oglivy's "Measle" trilogy. The project could include the performance-capture technology that Zemeckis employed in "Polar Express."
"Measle" centers on a young boy sent to live with an eccentric uncle who turns out to be a wizard. It's the second recent directing gig for Freudenthal, who was attached to Paramount's adaptation of "Agnes Quill: An Anthology of Mystery," a graphic novel by Dave Roman (Daily Variety, Oct. 30).
