Trevorrow to adapt 'Pet Robots'

Chris Bender, JC Spink to produce Disney film

Colin Trevorrow has been tapped to put words in the mouths of Disney's "Pet Robots."

Scribe will adapt the graphic novel by Scott Christian Sava as a high-tech comedy about four students who get lost on a field trip at a toy company and bond with four military robots.

Benderspink's Chris Bender and JC Spink will produce the project.

Trevorrow has sold the script "Tester" to DreamWorks for Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald to produce. Project is now at Paramount.

Scribe is aso penning the Sony pic "Stealing Time," which Walt Becker will direct and Landscape Entertainment and Sparkler Entertainment will produce.

Sava's Blue Dream Studios published "Pet Robots" last year. He's also worked on "Spider-Man," "Casper the Friendly Ghost," "Aliens vs. Predators" and "X-Men" as an illustrator, comicbook artist, animator and vidgame designer.
