Comedy Central gets 'Ugly'

Exec produced by David Stern ("Monk," "The Simpsons"), animated project "Ugly Americans" focuses on a social worker who helps new U.S. citizens -- both human and nonhuman -- adapt to life in the Big Apple.
Animation for the New York-based pilot is being handled by Augenblick Studios, with Comedy Central execs Lou Wallach and Dan Powell overseeing for the network.
Starring Evan Mann and Gareth Reynolds, "Evan and Gareth Are Trying to Get Laid" features its two eponymous subjects garnering both good and bad first-hand dating experience so they can deliver advice at the website where they work, Thehookup.com.
Pilot will also be shot in Gotham by Reveille and Conductor. Reynolds and Mann will exec produce, along with Jim Biederman.
