Style's 'Ruby' shines on Sunday

Nick's 'Jackson' breaks ratings records

Style Network's new weight-loss-themed reality skein "Ruby" generated the highest rated premiere for an original series in the channel's history Sunday, drawing 545,000 viewers.

The hourlong bow for the series focused on Savannah, Ga., resident Ruby Gettinger as she struggles to reduce her life-threatening weight of 500 pounds. Debut more than tripled Style's primetime average for viewers, households and women 18-49.

Nickelodeon, meanwhile, broke records of its own last week with the premieres of new series "True Jackson, VP" and its "iCarly" telepic.

Inspired from the network's top-rated "iCarly" series, "iGo to Japan" was the No. 1-rated entertainment program on cable last week, totaling 7.6 million viewers.

Meanwhile, "True Jackson, VP," starring Keke Palmer, bowed to Nick's largest live-action series premiere aud ever for kids 6-11 (2 million), tweens 9-14 (2 million) and total viewers (4.8 million).
