Brazil's TV Globo, Hispanoamerica TV in Paraguay, TVN in Chile, TNU in Uruguay and Canal 11 in Mexico have all acquired the series, bringing total global sales to 41 broadcasters.
"Seven Ages of Rock," comprising seven 50-minute episodes, charts the story of the music that defined each generation since the 1960s. The show features contributions from the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, the Sex Pistols, Black Sabbath, U2, the Smiths and Oasis, among others.
"This year was the first time we presented music programming at BBC Showcase Latin America, and I'm delighted that the new content was so well received," said Susanna Pollack, senior VP TV sales, co-productions and children's, BBC Worldwide Americas, adding the event is Latin America's only television market hosted by a single distributor.
