Written and helmed by UCLA grad student Anthony Onah, who also received $7,500, the film involves a single mother whose son is injured in an accident, leading mother and son into a medical insurance nightmare.
"The Cure" competed against three other UCLA graduate student films: "After the Shearing," "Side Effects" and "Sneeze."
